I have just upgraded my blog to the newest release of WordPress, 2.7. While I have not always been a huge WordPress fan in the past (my development tool of choice is still theMODx application framework) it is the tool I use on this blog. While it’s use here dates from before I started working with MODx, I continue to use it since I have had no great complaints to date and haven’t had time to make the switchover.
I believe that this upgrade represents quite a step forward with regards to the administrative design. I find the layout much easier to get around, particularly with the primary navigation being redesigned and moved to the left column. I also like the QuickEdit feature that has been added in this version which allows for editing of many attributes of the post without having to dive into full editing mode.
