It is 4:00pm on a Friday afternoon and I am just staring at my cup of Earl Grey. I would like to leave for the day, but I keep telling myself I need to write a blog post. At this juncture I am completely uninspired.
As I begin mindlessly scrolling through my Twitter follows I realize that a post about these folks is the inspiration I am searching for. I have found there is a growing community of MODx developers on Twitter. You can find me @gregorysmart, but here is a list of some of the more active MODx twitterers I have noted:
- @einsteinsboi, has been doing a lot of great tutorial work. If you are a newbie, follow her
- @ShaneSponagle, the MODx guru
- @modxcms, the MODx Team
- @JayGilmore, Community Developer with MODx
- @modx, don’t bother this guy, he has nothing to do with MODx
- @mrhaw, very active in the forums
- @rthrash
- @jccarter1, fellow arkansan and MODxer
- @kjaebker, Wayfinder
- @davidm_en
An effective method for tracking down these conversations is to use one of the Twitter desktop clients like Seesmic (this is the one I use) or TweetDeck and create a search column with “modx”. Over the past few months I have noticed that if someone Tweets a MODx question one of these folks is at the ready with a helpful response.
