The term “Pleth” literally refers to Plethysmograph, which loosely applied represents an appreciation for the pulse of technology. It is also a nice, short URL.
Pleth, LLC is an Arkansas based web development firm specializing in web design, managed hosting and email hosting. We are primarily focused on regional projects that provide us the opportunity for development of long-term relationships via our web hosting services. Following the creation of Pleth, LLC (2004) I began working on honing my skills not only as a site developer but as a co-owner/manager of a web hosting company as well. From the days of our company’s inception I realized that these markets possess tremendous potential and that by retaining a singular focus (web development or hosting) most companies do not fully realize the opportunities that lay before them.
Why not create a company that ran against the industry grain? Why not bring a human touch to an industry that was moving rapidly toward warehouse style hosting, fully automated processes and thin support at best? Perhaps some day software will evolve to the point that little to no interaction with the customer is necessary. Perhaps some day I can set up, design, launch, and host a professional website in a single, easy process with no need for programmers, graphic designers, content writers and account managers. Perhaps some day, but not today and not in the near future. There is a huge gap between customer needs and the software skills required to meet those needs. Pleth’s primary role is to fill that gap with responsiveness and patience to the demands of it’s client base. Like the tagline says, “Pleth, Where Service Meets Technology”.
